The former England international has not made a competitive appearance of any kind since February 2023, during a forgettable loan spell at Besiktas. He made just 13 outings for Everton prior to reaching the end of his contract last summer.

Dele continued to train with the Toffees after seeing them nurse him through several injury setbacks, but jumped at the chance to make a completely fresh start after being approached by Como and their ex-Arsenal star manager Cesc Fabregas towards the end of 2024.
