Currently, Marta plays for Orlando Pride in the National Women's Soccer League (NWSL). She has made nine starts this campaign and boasts of having four goals and one assist.

WHAT ELIAS SAID

Elias referred to her as "the greatest athlete of all time" and emphasised her substantial contribution to the squad. "She brings a lot to the table," Elias noted, indicating the multifaceted skills and leadership Marta offers.

"I have the challenge of finding a way of playing to maximise her game. But she knows that you can only win with everyone."

Throughout her career, Marta has come agonisingly close to Olympic glory. She won silver medals at the Athens 2004 and Beijing 2008 Olympics, with Brazil losing to the United States in both finals.
