A recent video from the Genshin Impact beta has revealed an overview of the new player customization options coming with Miliastra Wonderland in Version 6.1. In parallel to the Song of the Welkin Moon, one thing that Genshin Impact fans can look forward to in the Nod-Krai era is the Miliastra Wonderland – a sandbox mode that will allow players to create and engage with user-generated content. This new mode will be seamlessly integrated with the base game, though the development kit will have its own separate launcher.
One of the more interesting aspects of Miliastra Wonderland in Genshin Impact is its character creator. Players will be able to design their own Genshin Impact avatar, and not only will they be able to use it within the bounds of the sandbox mode, but they will also be able to explore Teyvat as this custom character. Dubbed Manekin (or Manekina), the Miliastra Wonderland character will need to be leveled separately in the base game, complete with its own set of ascension and talent materials.
Genshin Impact May Add Character Customization in Version 6.1
Version 6.1 will introduce Nefer to Genshin Impact, a Sumeru Flagship Event, and a new Act of the Archon Quest. However, it will also mark the beginning of the open beta for Miliastra Wonderland and its features. As such, players will be able to customize their Manekin starting from October 22, 2025. A video shared by Kuroo Leaks highlights the full scope of character customization options – from hairstyles and facial features to clothing and accessories.
Genshin Impact players can make detailed adjustments to the Manekin via a set of sliders, such as adjusting the iris size, accessory positioning, and more. While the method of acquisition isn’t fully understood just yet, datamining has implied that Miliastra Wonderland will come with its own gacha currency, separate from Primogems in Genshin Impact. This implies that Miliastra Wonderland will come with its own set of premium outfits and banners.
While it won’t feature a dye system, players will also be able to save and load several different profiles of their Manekin. One thing to also keep in mind is that the character customization, and Miliastra Wonderland as a whole, are only in their infancy. HoYoverse has promised that the sandbox mode will receive adequate developer support throughout the Nod Krai era in Genshin Impact. For now, the first iteration of Miliastra Wonderland should be open to all interested players with the launch of Version 6.1 on October 22, 2025.
